Curious about biophilic design but not quite ready to take the plunge? If you’re unsure about what these types of services can do for you, consulting with an expert is the perfect way to see if we’re the right fit for you and your company.

Whether you’re looking to elevate your current horticultural design or embark on a fresh start  in a new space, a short 30-minute consultation is all it takes for us to determine your exact needs.

What to Expect From a Consultation

We strive to connect with all clients within ten minutes of receiving a consultation request. From there:

  • Our administrator will coordinate with you to confirm your availability and select  the most convenient date and time for our designer to meet with you. Typically, this process is completed  within 24 to 48 hours of your request.

During their initial walkthrough of a space, our designers take note of open areas, lighting conditions, traffic patterns, entryways, and the overall floor plan of your space. Depending on the circumstances, this assessment can also be done virtually. For instance, if construction is still under way, or if you’re able to provide photographs of a space, then conducting our consultation online is always an option.

As we interact with you, we’ll gather information about your business to ensure that the ideal plant enhancements are carefully considered and perfectly suited for your space. We’ll assist you with the decision-making process, including the most suitable foliage that works best with your space’s water and lighting capabilities. We’ll sit with you to determine the most convenient timing for installation.

Every step of the consulting process includes complimentary custom plant and container selections, as well as graphic renderings that give you an idea of what your space will look like with fresh plants. Our easy-to-navigate proposal format includes terms of agreement, plans for ongoing care, and the details of who to connect with for immediate assistance.

How to Prepare for Your Consultation

A consultation is the most effective if you come with three things in mind:

  1. Which areas of your space you would like to target
  2. The look and feel you’re aiming for
  3. A ballpark budget

If, like us, you’re enthusiastic about biophilic design, you likely recognize the benefits of incorporating plants and greenery to improve your space and general wellbeing. However,  we’ve found that a consultation is more effective when  you take some time to consider which of your areas need rejuvenation and what aesthetic you want to achieve in a space.

Part of our consultation is to help  you to work this out, but we find the most productive conversations come after you’ve considered some of the following:

  • Do you want to be surrounded by lush tropicals, or are you going for a more minimalist approach with high-design focal points?
  • Are you considering vertical gardens or plant walls, or do you want large potted plants placed strategically across your office?

It’s beneficial for us to understand if you have specific expectations, like a consultation service specifically for a living wall, or one that gives you options based on our full portfolio. If you’re still undecided, taking a look at our portfolio might spark some inspiration.

We also recommend that you have a ballpark budget in mind ahead of the meeting. This allows for a streamlined consultation and allows us to strategically approach your design with realistic options.

How Long Is Natura’s Lead Time?

Once we’ve conducted the initial design consultation, we send you our design proposal within the week. This gives you the opportunity to provide us with feedback, and it gives us  the opportunity to fine-tune your plant design and make adjustments where necessary.

Following alignment on the design proposal we will schedule the final plant installation for three weeks from the approval date. During this time, we  will be hard at work ordering your containers and fresh tropicals from our growers in Hawaii, Florida and California.
